I really haven't used the oven much due to it being summer but the top elements are good. They are easier to clean compared to my last 2 glass tops but again not used much yet. I don't get why some setting have no preheat, they still need to heat up but I might have to get used to that.

They Don't Make Them Like They Used to

The range has a good overall appearance, but be aware that the aluminum components, especially the drawer, are very flimsy, and the cabinet gets pretty hot while the oven is on. I do like the different features (dual burners, warming zone, preheat). I haven't used the air fryer function yet. After two months, my brand-new range basically blew up. The electronic board behind the controls exploded: three very loud and terrifying pops (like when a transformer blows) followed by sparks and smoke. Whirlpool deemed it to be a safety hazard and replaced it with a brand-new one under the manufacturer's one-year warranty--and for that I'm grateful. However, after consulting with some experts, we learned that approximately two years ago manufacturing of the electronic controls was moved from Japan to the US, and they are notoriously defective. I realize this isn't a high-end appliance and, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for, but I expected it to last more than two months. There is no guarantee that the same thing won't happen to the new range. Thankfully, I did purchase a 5-year warranty, which includes a lemon clause. Bottom line, for a budget-friendly range, this is adequate, as long as it lasts beyond the warranty.

Could be a great range

This range has a lot of potential, with some nice features, but also has some horrible design flaws. The largest might be the oven venting. When baking, the oven vents heat right up into the control panel, making the stainless steel literally too hot to touch. I can™€™t imagine that the controls will last long exposed to that kind of heat. The stovetop also gets super hot when the oven runs, but the ™€œHot Surface™€ warning doesn™€™t light up. Seems like it should, considering how hot it gets. The drawer beneath the oven is incredibly shallow; definitely the most shallow I™€™ve ever come across. It™€™s also incredibly flimsy. There are sharp edges EVERYWHERE. The stamped out metal was never finished, so there are razor-sharp edges all over it. We™€™ve all been sliced open multiple times by these sharp edges. This is actually our second range as the first one had to be returned immediately since it was missing parts and was essentially falling apart right at delivery. The stovetop itself does work great, and I love the air fryer function. Overall it feels cheap and flimsy, but we™€™ll see how it holds up over time.

Glass top gets really hot when oven is on.

We bought this stove about a month ago. Called Home Depot and they directed us to speak with whirlpool. Explained to them that the top got very hot. So hot that you couldn™€™t keep your hand on it for more than a few seconds. The woman on the phone said this was normal for the newer models. If this is normal, it is a bad design. Our old glass top did not get nearly as hot. They said they could send a tech out, but if nothing was wrong I would have to pay. Not much help. I won™€™t buy another whirlpool product.

Frustrated and Disappointed

This range had everything I was looking for, no bottom coil, air fry options, no front knobs, but it does have one major flaw. The oven doesn't maintain temperature. Basically, I'll preheat the oven to my desired temperature, go to put what I need cooked in the oven and it won't feel as hot as it says it should. Then when I turned it off and back on to reheat it it basically starts from nothing as if it didn't heat at all the first time and takes twice as long to preheat. Something like cinnamon rolls, which should take 13 to 15 minutes to bake, took me an hour. No issues, so far, with flat top burners though.

Flimsy and lacking in sturdy materials. The storage drawer is so flimsy I thought the track was broke! The glass top had excess adhesive on it, the left side of the oven door gets hot, it's a universal door with cutouts for a self-cleaning lock which allows hot air to escape, the door is lightweight and the oven takes forever to preheat. If you want to sell on appearance then that works. I guess you have to pay twice as much as you did ten years ago if you want build quality.

We bought a whole suite of Whirlpool appliances and had to have the dishwasher replaced after one day because it was leaking. We also noticed the top of our range is loose and squeaking so we now have to get another one to replace that. We even had to put cardboard under the fridge to keep it from moving forward every time we open it. So far, the microwave seems fine. Having to be here for all of these deliveries has been a hassle with both of us needing to be at work. For the amount of money we spent on all of these Whirlpool appliances, it has been quite an inconvenience we didn't expect. We have always had whirlpool appliances that have been reliable, so we continue to buy them. After our latest purchases, we may rethink that.

Took 5 deliveries before I received a stove that did not have small chips in the black glass top. All were delivered in unopened original box, so this must have been sent that way from the factory. Purchased from Home Depot. Works ok. Oven seems to take a long time to heat up. Edge on metal drawer is a bit sharp and seem kind of flimsy.

This range was delivered 2/11/26 and was impressed with how fast the burners heated up. 3 days later I turned on the oven and smoke poured out of the back of the stove. Had to unplug the stove and open the windows to get rid of the smoke and smell. The front of the stove gets so hot when the oven is on it could burn your hand and this also happens at the back left side of the stove. Home Depot sent an appliance technician for Whirlpool and he said everything is working as it should. I don™€™t think you should have to worry about hurting yourself while using the stove/oven. The drawer is so sharp that you could slice your hand open. Home Depot will not take the stove back because we didn™€™t call within 48 hours. This is the worst stove ever. We used to love whirlpool!

It's fine. Nothing is made as well as things used to be made. Oven works, burners work. It's still new and we are still learning but there seems there may be issue with oven shutting off when we set/start timer. Was hard to find and print out the actual owner's manual - we have been setting oven temp and then timer the way the manual says. We will be paying closer attention when we use oven over next few weeks.

The stove top is beautifully done! I am most certainly enjoying cooking on it. The dials are hard to turn when turning on a burner. There is only one that is easy to turn. Otherwise it is A perfect match for our family.

The stove looks good! The first use of the oven emitted noxious smoke everywhere but the oven. Scary! The oven looses heat quickly & does not recover quickly. Top of stove gets dangerously hot when the oven is in use. It should have the larger element on top of stove. The bottom drawer is impossible to get back on track when removed to clean under the stove.

I returned this range because. The stove front and the cooking surface was so hot when the oven was in use it would burn my hand if I had touched it. Upon delivery the oven was turned on to ™€œburn off™€ manufacturing chemicals. There was so much chemical smoke in my home This is a health hazardaldoors had to be opened. The smoke alarms would have come on. This should not be normal. Anyon

We are enjoying our new range. When it was delivered the man that was prepping it was cut by something on the bottom. Upon inspection I noted two other places on the stove that were also sharp. There is a long piece of metal that runs under the handle to the oven, it is very sharp, and I also noticed that where the steam or heat vents at the top of the stove on the far left. Those are also very sharp. I am concerned for the safety of anyone that uses that range. We are enjoying the rest of the range. We use it daily.

Hate the steam cleaning site!

The Steam Cleaning is a joke! We used the air fryer once per instructions and did the steam cleaning per instructions ( distilled water), and no results whatsoever! I had to manually clean the oven. Not my favorite thing to do™€¦.Also, the bottom storage area is too small and opening it is lacking in easiness. It takes a while to pre-heat oven and the burners on top will take some getting use to. I would have returned it, but my husband said we just won™€™t use the air fryer. He is the cook so guess we will keep it. I,myself, will not recommend this appliance.

Overall I am pleased with this range. A big part of our decision to purchase this particular range is that it is made in the USA. The air fry function is really no different than a convection oven though.

Very nice appliance! Easy to keep clean. Love the warming center to keep food warm while other burners are being used. Oven cooks evenly no matter where the dish is placed. Broiler is conveniently located so it broils right where the dish is placed and does not have to be moved below the oven as is often done in a gas stove. I love the glass top as it prevents damage to coils, etc. Love my new stove!

Purchased Whirlpool oven exactly ONE yr ago and the control panel is junk now. Very disappointed and upset. Whirlpool will not replace my stove. They insist in putting in a new panel. It™€™s under warranty. Since it™€™s only ONE yr old I need a new stove from Whirlpool.
