i purchased this refrigerator with optional ice maker and upon delivery was unable to connect the ice maker because the water supply line valve and associated blue and white tubing was missing. had another refrigerator delivered from the warehouse and it had the same problem. samsung customer service said it was not their problem and hung up on me!
the first photo shows the back of my current refrigerator. the second photo shows blue and white water supply tubing configuration needed to complete the ice maker installation.

our unit never worked as i have been trying to resolve the problems from day 1.
bought it from bill smith that had no problem of selling me a unit in december 2017. they forgot the ice-maker and charged me another usd 150.-
once operating the electrical bill jumped from 5 kwh per day to between 10 and 13 kwh.
after 10 months ice-maker and freezer stopped working. bill smith reufused to honour anything.
their explaination is power surges in the outlets. i don't believe that is the reason.
i think it is because the rehung the doors and pinched the cables. as a last resort i asked bill smith appliances in marco island for a new quote with a discount to replace this faulty unit. they gave me usd 50 above list price as a last "never-call-us-again"-note. warranties in the us is a joke.

The capacity of this refrigerator 2 cu ft more than our old 19 cu ft unit and resides in the same space as the old fridge. Perfect temperatures are maintained in refrigerator and freezer compartments. The unit is very quiet. The glass shelf arrangement in the refrigerator is well lit providing good visibility of all stored items. The stainless steel exterior brightens our kitchen. We look forward to many "cool" years of service.

Bought this to replace a 20 year old fridge. It is so quiet don't even know it's on. Keeps my milk cold and my frozen food frozen. Hope this lasts as long as my old dinosaur lol. Only issue I see is the shelving. Due to the height of most drink containers it makes a space almost unusable when using all shelves. Other than that am completely satisfied with this purchase.

this piece completely stopped working after 1 month. the burning rubber smell got into everything in the fridge and freezer, so even though i caught the defrosting in time i still lost everything. i filed a warranty claim, and have waited patiently for 5 weeks while living out of a cooler. I have no answers as to when to expect it repaired. im fed up.

cooling works well for both the freezer and refrigerator sections. lighting is ok. it's an overall good looking fridge. the wide deli tray can be a bit aggravating, as the main door must be fully opened in order to extend the tray.
this unit suffers from frequent pops and groans from within, likely due to hot/cold expansion/contraction of the insulation. sad to say, it is too much. it's like spastic bouts of pops, groans, snaps, or thwaps once or twice an hour. sounds like a gentle tap, to a creaky groan, to something like a spring snapping, or an alarming thud you can hear from the other room. the noises are just too loud, too frequent, and not at all subtle or 'tolerable' for a new refrigerator.
3/5 stars. nice looks and function but i'm beginning to think the thing runs on diesel!

Was so excited to get new fridge. I have to be honest.....the ice maker didn't work...don't know if was the installation by Lowes or ice maker itself. Had to make many calls to lowes and Samsung to finally get it fixed.Had it non-working for 20 days. That all reflects on Samsung. Why don't you just sell with ice maker installed? A lot of stress i went through trying get this resolved. And the worst...I pulled the fridge in and out so many times trying figure it out....I didn't push it back far enough, came home and opened door, that I had mode Lowes adjust safely to not hit, and hit fridge door with know cause it wasn't back far enough. Thats on you Samsung for not taking care if this right off when I called and Lowes as well. I wanted to get rid of my new fridge, I hated it....well, I'm adjusting to a full price dented fridge that had anyone acted to fixing problem would not have a dent. I would have not moved the fridge from the right location. So love the fridge, hate the dented fridge, only 4 stars cause I just hate that dent....I take care of my stuff....its piece of crap now, not a new beautiful fridge.
I even tried to find a new door. Would love a new door. Love to have the fridge i paid and picked out.

Bought this fridge a few months ago to replace it old GE fridge in the garage. Went with a floor model, but wasn't planning on going this fancy. However, we decided that if the big 28 cu.ft. Samsung with french doors in our kitchen goes out, this would be a good temporary fix. This fridge has a lot of storage flexibility. Perfect for overflow and bulk shopping. Runs very quiet and visually it's a great looking unit. The hidden handles give it a clean finish. My only complaint is when in defrost it kept tripping our gfci outlets. After some digging I found out that most newer appliances need a special outlet or circuit that allow miniscule current draws without triggering a fault.

Originally was planning on getting a refrigerator with a smart hub but sadly due to the amount of space available in my kitchen it was not an option. I was glad that I found a Samsung refrigerator that fit though because Samsung is one of the best brands of products all of my TVs, washer and dryer, and every cell phone I've owned are Samsung and it will always be the first brand I look for when purchasing new products.

Freezer ok. Fridge runs at 42 degrees on its coldest setting. This is a 300 pound paperweight, a huge piece of junk. If some technician could override the factory setting to run at a temperature that is above a cold food safe level, that would be awesome.

I bought this fridge for the garage for beer
Right off the bat it would only get to 40 degrees at best
So i called Samsung and they sent out a tech who couldnt find anything wrong with it
So he changes the inside panel with the fan and sensor
He said it is not designed to be used in the garage and i should put it in the house
So i did (This required me to remove the doors off the fridge and of the house)
The fridge was actually warmer in the house by at least 2 degrees
So the fridge goes back into the garage removing and replacing all the doors
So i call Samsung and request a replacement but they say i have to have at least three techs come out before they can do a replacement so i set up another tech to come out
The day before the tech is supposed to come they email me saying they called and could not reach me so they are canceling the tech (They never called MY house )
So i call again and set up another tech to come out
So he comes out and cant find anything wrong so he changes the logic board
I give it a couple weeks but it still wont get below 40 degrees
So another tech comes out and i finely convince them to replace the fridge
After all that the new fridge is exactly the same
I contact Samsung and they tell me i need to start over and have three techs come out
The first tech comes out and tells me i have to put the fridge inside before he can troubleshoot it
So off and back on with all the doors again
I call for another tech and the day before he is supposed to come i get an email from Samsung
Again they say they cant reach me by phone and cancel the tech
At this point i have had enough and put the fridge back in the garage
I end up buying a different brand and sold this fridge at a big loss just to get it out of the garage
I used to think that Samsung products were the cream of the crop
Now i cringe every time i see a Samsung product on sale

With Covid, there were a limited amount of choices. Luckily, we liked this model. It's been great so far.

We purchased this model after a problem with a bottom freezer style refrigerator. It's a bit difficult to organize but once you have it figured out, it's easy to manage. My only issue is that if there is too much weight on the door, it doesn't shut completely. Ice maker works great, but be sure the ice tray is pushed all the way back.

Purchased this refrigerator a month ago, has plenty of space (both freezer and refrigerator. The temperature control does not go as low as I would like, even on the lowest setting several parts of the refrigerator are above the 40 degrees recommended. The outside finish is not totally smudge proof as advertised.

My husband and I bought our refrigerator on Veterans Day. Works great, plenty of room and keeps everything nice and cold! Only one bad feature if you have either refrigerator or freezer door open past a certain amount of time and it starts dinging!

I felt compelled to review this fridge due to the wide variance in ratings. First and foremost, if you are even considering this fridge it is likely because it's one of the few that will fit in your limited space. I got a good deal on this fridge so I can live with its flaws in the context of what I paid, but in retrospect I would have not bought it knowing what the experience would be like.
Features - I'm a simple guy, I wanted a simple fridge. No ice maker needed, as those can prove to be unreliable. That being said there are only two features worth mentioning, the slide out pantry and the flex zone. The slide out pantry is ok, but it's more annoying than it is helpful. For example you have to open the fridge the entire way to even get it open, and it eats up space on the top shelf. If it was removable, I would most likely take it out. The flex zone seems useful, but I have yet to use it. If you want a full size fridge this is nice to have.
Performance - The freezer works great, nice and cold. That is pretty much it. Like others have mentioned, the cooling performance of the main fridge is very poor. In order to get the space inside the fridge entirely below 40 degrees, you must run this thing at the coldest setting, and even then the bottom shelf struggles to stay below 41. Forget about the crisper, I cannot get either drawer to get below 41 no matter how long I keep the fridge shut. But those are the only warm spots, the top and middle drawers have no problem staying in the mid 30's. I don't get it.
Design - A nice looking fridge to be sure, but only from far away. Once you get up close you will see where the cost cutting happens. Panels are crooked and bowed, the fridge is tilted backwards, noticeably so, with no way to level it out. The lighting makes no sense. The LED's are in the front of the fridge, so shadows can obscure what's inside. That seems like a goofy complaint, but the glass shelves fog up almost immediately when you open the fridge, so if you are tall, get ready to hunch over to find things. Also, the shelf placement is extremely limited, forcing a lot of concessions in just where you are going to put things. I like the pocket handles (thats something I guess).
Value - If this thing cooled well, I would have no problem overlooking any other shortcoming. If you can live with some performance flaws and find this thing on sale it is passable, but as I mentioned in the beginning, I would buy something else in retrospect.

We have been very satisfied with our decision to purchase this item. We can fit much more than French door model. The unit is silent, calm and energy efficient. The design is sleek, and easy to clean with 1 easy wipe. The LED light inside the fridge could have been brighter. It's our personal preference to have brighter light and sadly it's not possible to modify the LED light. It is not a simple standard bulb. Overall best bang for the buck not just when purchase but also throughout the usage.

After the fiasco of the washing machine. We are trying Samsung again. Both Lights are at the front of the door panel facing out. The lights were angled out and not into the compartments. The Door cannot hold a gallon of milk. the shelving's are very low. all bottles cannot stand upright. they need to be placed flat. Maybe if I took out one of the shelves it would work. The Fridge on a whole is ok.

Bought this unit in August. We have since called a few times and have had one tech out. We noticed that the unit would not get or stay below 40-42 degrees. The tech said that this Samsung unit won't ever get "cold" and this is acceptable per Samsung. Also, we bought the model due to the size, however, we had to take a shelf out to fit a gallon of milk or sport drink bottles there, instead of using the door which was warmer. So we now only have two shelves, disappointing. So, yes, the fridge is large, but the space is not able to be used to its fullest. Lastly, the front hold finger prints and smudges and dents so easily.

Great Price. Love the stainless steel look. We bought the 21 cu. ft. Capacity Top Freezer Refrigerator with FlexZone. It's nice a big fridge with excellent inside lighting. Love the options like, with or without the ice maker and the top can be the freezer or part of the fridge. The choices are yours.

2 months into owning this model, I still have NO ice maker. The model never came with the correct water lines. I have contacted Home Depot & Samsung multiple times and neither could resolve this issue.
Additionally, the side of the front door has a small minor dent. My previous stainless steel fridge was in same spot over 10 years that had ZERO dents that was another model.
I wanted to like this fridge, but at this point is was the only of three options due to the size I needed.
